a. θ is the angle formed by the mooring rope passing through the roller guide (refer to Appendix A).
b. The safe working load (SWL) is calculated based on the condition where the rope is under the maximum allowable load, with the angle formed by the rope passing through the roller being 90° (i.e., θ = 90°)
or 180° (i.e., θ = 0°).
The safe working load is determined according to the assessment method in Appendix A and is for reference only.
The safe working load can be adjusted according to the actual load. The actual indicated safe working load should be a value agreed upon by the manufacturer and the user.
